About Us
Our Mission
At Canoe Kids Adventure Club we commit ourselves to teaching and caring for the children of our community. We take pride in the comfortable environment in which we provide safety, compassion, and the opportunity for social and developmental growth. It is our belief that by encouraging exploration, we can nurture children’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual and creative development. This is what we hope to contribute, as they grow into well rounded individuals. Our motto is “A child’s job is to play!”. North Canoe offers the perfect setting to enjoy nature through play-based learning. We strive to be worthy role models in order to instill positive core values. These values include, but are not limited to a positive self-image, respect for ourselves and others, healthy relationships and to meet life’s challenges with a “can do” attitude. Our approach fosters responsibility, independence and confidence.
Our Location
Canoe BC

Our program is located in North Canoe Elementary School and we are within walking distance to 3 parks, beautiful hiking trails, Canoe beach, Warf, and baseball diamonds. We take our kids on walking field trips to a selection of these locations, and have the school Gymnasium space to teach the kids yoga (Mindfulness and Movement) and give them plenty of time for free play with gym equipment. Each day we emphasize the importance of outdoor activities and adventures, building strong sense of community and friendships, fun and imaginative active play, and we have lots of materials for our kids to get creative with arts and crafts! Your child does NOT have to attend North Canoe Elementary School to attend our program but transportation is NOT provided.
